[OKRA] Reminder! OKRA Board of Directors Call for Nominations due this Saturday

I just wanted to send a final reminder that the Oklahoma Recycling Association is currently seeking nominations for the board of directors. Nominations are due THIS Saturday, October 15, 2016. See below for more details.

The Oklahoma Recycling Association (OKRA) Board of Directors is comprised of a very active, all-volunteer board consisting of 11-44 board members (currently 19) including six officer positions, with each elected member serving a 2-year term. Serving on the board includes a commitment to being a unified voice for Oklahoma Recyclers, as well as attending Board of Director meetings, held a minimum of four times a year, but the board tries to meet every six weeks. Board members must be a voting member of OKRA (or become a member). Attached is a Board Member Job Description with more details. There are eleven seats available for election including all officer positions (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and two Executive Committee Board Members).

You may nominate yourself or another person by submitting the following information by email to Sara Ivey, OKRA Secretary, by 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2016.



Please submit a one-page nomination letter with the following information:

*              What Segment of the Recycling Industry Do You Represent?

*              Position you are interested in (officer or at-large board member):

To see how the OKRA board works,  please plan to attend the October 17, 2016 board meeting from 11:00am - 1:00 pm in Tulsa at the Land Legacy Office (822 E 6th St., Suite 200, Tulsa, OK 74103) or join us by phone. Elections are scheduled to take place October 24, 2016 through November 4, 2016 via survey monkey for current voting members.
