Subject: 2 job openings at Oregon DEQ: Senior Policy Analyst + Communications/Outreach Specialist
Hello State Recycling Organizations and others! Oregon DEQ has just opened two recruitments that some of your members might like to know about. Would you please help us spread the word? Details follow. Many thanks!
**
DEQ has an exceptional opportunity for two candidates interested in serving in our Materials Management Section (Portland).
* A Senior Policy Analyst, who will work closely with our program's management team, legislative analyst and senior project staff on the development of policy options, administrative rules, legislative proposals and strategic plans. This individual will conduct extensive engagement with stakeholders, lead the development of a regular forum to facilitate communication between DEQ and stakeholders, and serve as a subject matter expert in the area of extended producer responsibility. This is a permanent, full-time position.
* A Communications/Outreach Specialist, who will work closely with senior project staff and partners across the state to develop and implement communications, marketing/social media campaigns, outreach and education strategies, programs and action plans to reduce the environmental and public health impacts of materials. This is a full-time, limited duration position through June 30, 2017 with the possibility of an extension.
Both positions are classified as Operations and Policy Analyst 3's, with an annual salary range of $57,636 - $84,252, plus comprehensive benefits. Applications for both positions are due December 12 at 11:59 pm.
Please note: Both recruitments are open to applicants that do not immediately meet the Minimum Qualifications for the OPA3 but can meet the Minimum Qualifications listed in the job announcement within 12 months.
