[OKRA] KAB offers FREE e-waste support - CLARIFICATION

Some clarification about the KAB offer posted on April 26...

If you are considering taking advantage of the offer (see below), please note that this is not a guarantee of free transportation and e-waste processing.  You must complete their survey first and see if your location is selected (survey link is below).

Should you be selected, you will need to provide the forklifts/pallet jacks, skids/pallets and people to load the e-waste into trucks provided by LG & WMRA.  They will then take the items away to be processed according to strict environmental standards.

Keep America Beautiful (KAB) has partnered with LG Electronics (LG) and Waste Management Recycle America (WMRA) to offer FREE transportation and e-waste processing for electronics recovery programs in your area. All material collection and processing will meet the strict BAN and R2 (E-Stewards) environmental standards.

KAB is asking for your assistance in making your member communities and other stakeholders aware of this opportunity, and soliciting their participation.

KAB has prepared a straightforward questionnaire for your communities and other stakeholders that can assist in identifying candidate recovery projects. Our goal is to have projects identified over the next two weeks, with the events taking place any time between now and June 30th, 2011.  At your earliest convenience, please complete the survey at:
