Greetings OK Green Schools Program Friends,

Please register online ASAP for our free Oklahoma Green Schools Training
(link below) to be held August 5th in OKC and August 12th in Tulsa.
Join us for one or both of these events to learn how the Oklahoma Green
Schools Program works, walk through the Project Learning Tree (PLT)
GreenSchools! investigations, and/or for lunch and camaraderie.  If you
have already started the program, you will have a chance to share ideas
with other Green Schools, or if you are planning to start in the fall,
be ready to help your students conduct one or more of the great PLT
investigations.  You are welcome to mix and match the training segments,
conducted by Christina Stallings Roberson (OK PLT Coordinator), to
encompass your particular needs.  Additional directions will be emailed
to all registrants before each event.  You must make a reservation by
August 1 if you would like to eat lunch sponsored by our generous
committee members from OGE Energy Corp (OKC) and AEP-PSO (Tulsa).

The purpose of the trainings is to introduce new folks to what Oklahoma
Green Schools is, how it works and also to help you become familiar and
comfortable with the student-led PLT School Investigations which form
the backbone of the Green Schools educational component.  Training will
also include a demonstration of each tool in our toolkits that are
available for check-out online.  These trainings will be half a day in
the mornings and then following lunch, there will be about a 2-hour
session dedicated to the energy investigation and energy
efficiency/conservation projects.  These trainings will be somewhat
modular in approach so you can pick the dates, times, topics, that make
the most sense for you. If you have attended a previous OK Green Schools
training, you may still want to attend the overview due to some changes
in the certification process since last year.  If you have already
conducted some of the investigations, feel free just to attend the
others.
