interested in some changes to the existing rules being considered by the
Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, Solid Waste Management Advisory
Council.  If the changes to the rules are
approved, it would allow for compost facilities to compost feedstocks other
than yard waste.   The proposed
rulemaking is an attempt to clarify and streamline the current regulations
pertaining to solid waste composting facilities.</span></div>

the proposed revision to Chapter 515. The attached text is the currently
proposed version. Potential revisions to composting rules were discussed
conceptually at the September 2015 and January 2016, Council meetings. A draft
was presented for discussion purposes at the September 2016 Council
meeting.   </span></div>

through the Solid Waste Management Advisory Council (Council) Meeting <b>January 12, 2017</b>. The rules will be
discussed at the council meeting and there will be time included in the agenda
to hear comments and discussion from the public. If the rules are approved by
the Council they will be presented for consideration to the Environmental
Quality Board at their February 17, 2017, meeting.</span></div>
