<div><FONT face=Arial size=2>Senate Bill 498, by Sen. Paddock and Rep. Hilliard passed out of the House Natural Resources committee late yesterday afternoon.  The vote was unanimous.  Rep. Hilliard added an amendment to the bill which changes year "2009" to "2010", giving us back the two-year window in which to document the 10% statwide recycling goal with the help of ODEQ and OKRA.</FONT></div>


<div><FONT face=Arial size=2>SB 498 will now move to the full HOR for consideration.  If the measure is approved by the HOR, it will return to the St. Senate for adoption of the House amendment----then on to the governor for his signature.  I do not anticipate any problems at this point.</FONT></div>
