year, communities, organizations, schools and businesses hold America Recycles
Day (ARD) events to celebrate recycling and to keep it in the public eye.
Since a lot of valuable materials are still being wasted, America Recycles Day means
rededicating ourselves to recycling. The annual ARD date is November 15<sup>th</sup>,
but a lot of events are starting much earlier! <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class=MsoBodyText style='line-height:normal'><font size=2 color=black
face=Verdana><span lang=EN style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Verdana'> To
make this year’s celebration more meaningful for <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State
w:st="on">Oklahoma</st1:State></st1:place>’s youth, we are forming an
OKRA Youth Advisory Council to meet from 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on June 6 at
the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. We will brainstorm
ideas for encouraging schools to participate in the annual celebration and develop
a list of potential prizes that would motivate young people to enter the
drawing. We hope to have time at the end of the meeting to help all young
people in attendance plan an event at their own school.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
