*TRUE Net zero waste: case study of GSA earning silver*
*November 19, 2024 – 11 AM CST*
In 2018, GSA conducted an agency wide TRUE Net Zero Waste pilot for each
regional office to support one of its buildings to earn a TRUE
certification. The intent of the pilot was to learn about the process to
earn certification and the language to add to GSA’s custodial and O&M
contracts to maximize diversion efforts in federally own facilities. Kelly
Longfellow, Pollution Prevention Section in LCRD Region 6, championed this
effort for GSA Region 7 to be the first federal agency to earn and maintain
Silver for two years. You are invited to hear her lessons learned during
this process with GSA.
