Ian Joyce, Former EPA Research Participant at EPA Headquarters, Office of
Resource Conservation and Recovery (Moderator)
Ian is a current graduate student at the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign concentrating in Sustainability Policy and Management. Ian
is hoping to pursue a career that furthers the preservation of the
environment and creates beneficial societal outcomes.
Meredith Moore, Sustainability Programs Manager, University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign.
Meredith works for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign within
the Institute for Sustainability, Energy and Environment. Meredith is the
Sustainability Programs Coordinator for the university.
Sydney Trimble, Zero Waste Coordinator for Facilities and Services
Department, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
Sydney will be graduating in May 2022 with a degree in Environmental
Sciences and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Illinois. Her role
on the Zero Waste team involves the coordination of waste-related campus
projects, tracking data metrics, and engaging with campus community members
concerning waste reduction goals. She is an executive chair member of
VermiCulture, a student organization that distributes free worm composting
kits to the general community. Sydney is also on the Zero Waste team for
the Illinois Climate Action Plan (iCAP), which recommends new strategies
aimed at achieving the goals outlined in Urbana-Champaign climate action
plan.
Molly Kathleen, Zero Waste Coordinator, The Ohio State University
Molly Kathleen is the Zero Waste Coordinator for the Ohio State University
where she is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to help
reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills by 90% or more. These
strategies include source reduction, reuse, rescue, recycling, and
composting.
