The Product Stewardship Institute (PSI) and the Oklahoma Department of
Environmental Quality will convene a multi-stakeholder dialogue meeting on
the safe management of residential medical sharps and drug waste.
This meeting will give participants a thorough understanding of the threats
to environmental and public health associated with these wastes, barriers
to safe post-consumer management, and goals to keep our communities safe.
We will explore, and ultimately aim to agree on, solutions for Oklahoma.
Participants will include state and local government, academia, pharmacies,
reverse distributors, medical care providers, public health and
environmental groups, solid waste organizations, waste haulers, waste and
recycling facilities, and others.
Free parking will be available near the venue. Lunch will be provided.
