[OKRA] Register Now for Oklahoma Green Schools Summit

Oklahoma Green Schools Program will be holding the 2nd Annual Oklahoma Green
Schools Summit on Thursday, May 19, 2016. The Summit is for anyone
interested in learning how to make their schools a "greener and healthier"
place to learn. One of the topics we help schools with is a waste
evaluation, making wiser purchases that generate less waste, and options on
waste disposal including recycling, composting, etc. which is why I thought
OKRA members might be interested. Our keynote speaker will actually be
focusing on composting.

here are details:

REGISTER NOW! for the 2016 Oklahoma Green Schools Summit  After a Highly
Successful 2015 Summit last year, the Oklahoma Green Schools Program is
happy to announce our 2nd Annual Oklahoma Green Schools Summit!

*	Receive free curriculum resources on how to green your school
*	Learn how to empower your students to identify ways to conserve
resources around your school while saving money!
*	Find out more about OK Green Schools Grant program to fund projects
at your school
*	Scholarships available to pay for transportation costs to the
Summit. 

The event will take place Wednesday, May 19, 2016, from 9:45 am until 2:00
pm at Norman High School. 

We will have presentations by elementary through high school students from
schools currently participating in the Oklahoma Green Schools Program that
will highlight "green" projects and accomplishments at their school.

Our host school, Norman High School, has accomplished some amazing things
including an Aquaponics System, Garden Your Own Growth Program, Rain Barrels
, and compost bins. Tours of these areas will be included.  

Attend the hands-on breakout sessions that will include make and take items
and lesson plans.

You will also learn about a variety of resources to help your school become
a greener and healthier place to learn.

Teachers are encouraged to bring a group of students (maximum of 6) to
network, share, and learn new ways to green your school.

Teacher/Adult Registration is $20.00, Student Registration is $5.00

Lunch will be provided.
