Recycling Specialist Position
Award-winning recycling and sustainable solid waste agency seeks energetic, versatile professional to join our team. Entry level opportunity with the Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency’s recycling team. Travel throughout Onondaga County working with businesses, apartment complexes and public facilities to improve recycling and assist in marketing OCRRA’s compost. Ideal candidate is a self-starter who is adaptable to changing circumstances and who supports OCRRA’s mission and program outreach efforts.

Qualified candidates must possess an associate’s degree and 2 years work experience in resource recovery, solid waste management, business administration, marketing, public relations or communications; or, 4 years work experience in the aforementioned areas.

The position is a provisional civil service appointment. Salary range for this position is in the high $30’s DOE.
