Subject: Oklahoma Contemporary's film series, featuring Plastic Planet

Please help promote the next film in Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center's free film series, Plastic Planet, as well as our current exhibition, Jason Willaford's Vinyl Exposed.  Willaford employs used billboard vinyl to create his unique 2-D and 3-D pieces.  Additionally, we are actively collecting materials for kids in our summer art camps to use and "upcycle" for their camp creations throughout the summer.

Jason Willaford's show runs through August 22nd and Plastic Planet and will be shown at Oklahoma Contemporary on Thursday July 24th from 6 - 9 p.m.  Free popcorn and soda will be provided at our film night!

Plastic Planet (2009) is directed by Werner Boote, who presents an up-close and personal view of the controversial and fascinating material that has found its way into every facet of our daily lives: plastic. He takes us on a journey around the globe, showing that plastics have become a threat for both the environment and human health.  This film complements the current exhibition at Oklahoma Contemporary, Jason Willaford's Vinyl Exposed, that features works made from used billboard vinyl.
