I am pleased to provide you with the electronic version of our annual report. Many of our customers request updates on our battery stewardship mission in the U.S. and Canada, and, with all of your support, we continue to make progress on many fronts.

By all accounts, it was a successful year: collections were up for the year, public awareness grew, outreach programs generated results and legislative advocacy gained traction.

  *   Call2Recycle collected 10 million pounds (4.7 million kilograms) of batteries in 2012, a 16% increase over 8.9 pounds (4 million kilograms) in 2011.

  * We continue to move forward with initiatives for driving even greater collections. Spotlight stories on participating companies help spread the word about battery recycling as well as showcases your commitment to sustainability. Working together with your organization on joint promotional programs is always welcome.

  * And since safety is always a priority, Call2Recycle is proud to be the first recycling program of its kind to receive the Responsible Recycling Practices (R2) certification.

Our progress in 2012 sets the stage for shaping a sustainable future. As always, we thank you for your continued support of the Call2Recycle program - we couldn't do it without you!
