Until a few years ago, the reverse chain was deployed with a view to minimize costs by allowing waste materials to accumulate over time and eventually be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. But now with proper reverse supply chain management, manufactures have realized avoided costs and in some cases identified new sources of revenue through recycling of waste materials and off specification products. Today more and more attention is being devoted to the reverse supply chain and the critical importance of managing the entire product life cycle. Our expert speakers will address the key concepts of reverse supply chain management and the related social and economic demands.
