The first full week of May is International Compost Awareness Week.  This year it will be May 1-7.

International Compost week an opportunity to showcase composting and compost products, whether it be composting in your backyard or at large scale commercial composting facilities.

Attached is a manual provided by the US Composting Council on "How to Celebrate International Compost Awareness Week."  This is an excellent resource for educators and event planners.
