[OKRA] Oklahoma Celebrates America Recycles Day

Dear Recycling Advocates,

The Oklahoma Recycling Association (OKRA) wishes to announce the 2006
"Oklahoma Celebrates America Recycles Day" awareness campaign and prize
drawing.  The campaign is running officially between October 28 and
November 19, but a few folks are celebrating even earlier this year
(November 15 is the actual ARD date).  All pledge cards must be postmarked
November 20 to be eligible for the drawings. Materials for hosting your
own pledge card collection at events, businesses, work, school, etc. are
now available on the new OKRA website: www.recycleok.org.  You may
download them or order them through the website.  Details of sponsors and
the fantastic prizes they have donated are also available on the website.

We hope you will help with this year's celebration by:

* Passing this message on to others who might be interested in hosting a
pledge card collection

* Holding a collection yourself at work, school, church, etc.

* Asking a local business, library, school, church, etc. to host a
collection and/or set-up a display

* Asking your mayor, principal, or other person of authority to pass a
resolution in support of America Recycles Day

* Encouraging your local media to print one of our sample press releases

* Check out our list of ideas for ARD school/youth activities on the OKRA
website

* Anything else you can think of . . .

ARD pledge cards for the state and national drawing may be submitted
online at: www.keepoklahomabeautiful.com as well as the OKRA site.
